Let’s have a S.I.P by the Waterfront in West Palm Beach this summer! The City’s annual Summer in Paradise campaign is a series of events in downtown during the summer season, packed with fun – and free! – things to do for the whole family. Come experience dynamic interactive art, exciting community events, waterfront activities, and unique, eclectic shopping and dining offers.
This year’s Summer in Paradise features fifteen child-size playhouses, collectively referred to as the “Fairy Tale Playhouses.” In partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, the mini-homes provide entertainment and shade to the smallest of waterfront visitors, all while raising awareness of affordable housing. Each playhouse represents a fairy tale, signifying the global outreach of Habitat for Humanity. Local artists interpreted the tales and on the final night of Summer in Paradise the playhouses will be auctioned off in support of fifteen local nonprofits.
SIP Fairy Tales include: Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, North America; The Boy and the Dragon, Canada; The Frog Princess, Poland; Rapunzel, Germany; Cinderella, Germany; Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Germany; Ugly Duckling, Netherlands; Jack and the Beanstalk, UK; The Three Little Pigs, UK; Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, Asia; The Adventures of the Little Peachling (or Momotaro), Japan; Anasi, and the Turtle: Jamaican Folk Tales, Jamaica; The Little Mermaid, Denmark; Beauty and the Beast, France; and Pinocchio, Italy.
Clematis by Night (Thursdays): The city’s free music concert series is a popular event where people can enjoy renown South Florida bands. There’s plenty of food and beverage vendors and it is a lot of fun! Check all information below for the next concert.
Headliner: MELINDA ELENA / R&B, Classic Rock

StoryVille (5 – 9 p.m.): Set your own stage by creating your own life-size fairy tale. Kids of all ages like it. When you’re done, put yourself in the story for a selfie!
Fairy Tale Trivia (Tuesdays, until July 31, from 7 – 9 p.m.): Was it a fairy tale or a fable? Is there a difference? All will be answered during the Summer in Paradise edition of trivia on the Waterfront. Weekly, starting on Tuesday, June 12 (with the exception of July 3), guests can enjoy an interactive fairy tale trivia experience.
Screen on the Green (2nd Friday of each month from 7:00 p.m. to 11: 00 p.m.): West Palm Beach Waterfront is transformed into an outdoor theater where guests can enjoy family friendly films under the stars. Blankets and lawn chairs are recommended.
On July 13: “The Greatest Showman” (PG). More information here and a sneak peak.
FlaminGo Croquet (Daily 5 – 9 p.m.): enjoy a game with FlaminGO mallets, giant card holes, sustainable tea cups and royal décor. It is so much fun. Check below what it is…
In for a FlaminGo Croquet time this week? #Croquet can be played by two, four or six players where each player selects a colored mallet and ball, and plays only their ball through the game. The object of the game is to hit your balls through the course of hoops in the correct sequence in each direction, and finish by hitting them against the center wooden peg. Sounds like fun, right? Now you can play this game every day from 5pm to 9pm by the waterfront in Downtown West Beach and enjoy a good meal or drinks after that. If you come, check these suggested restaurants for a savory meal: @thealchemistgastropub, @midiciwpb, @kabukiwpb, @roccos_tacos, @erbradleys_wpb. They’re all nearby where you’ll play and have great #food and ambience. . . #summer #summeractivities #summerinparadise #summerinflorida #sip #iLoveWPB #ilovefl #thingstodo #visitwpb #DowntownWPB #thepalmbeaches #wpb #wpbhappenings #westpalmbeach #letshavefun
